Parked on the grassy area on the south side of the road. 1 car when we arrived at 8:30, 1 car when we left at 3:00 PM. Appalachia was overflowing both times. |

Ice Gulch does not look like a good trail for most dogs. |

Ice Gulch did not disappoint, it was a real adventure. It just keeps going and going. It took us 2 hours. We did see a lot of ice in the upper part of the trail. It is well blazed in orange. In a few spots we had to stop and think on how to progress. There are some deep holes. I would not want to do this on a day when the rocks were wet. We only saw one other hiker all day. |
