Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Valley Way is in sad shape. The last 0.2 miles is like a car wash. Most of the water bars are either completely full of stuff or half full and old. Lots of downhill stone creep and over side of trail. Some massive blowdowns have been cleared. But for a trail going directly to a hut, the trail is tired and needs a ton of work to showcase what can be done. Just my opinion.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I saw a few but Adams has to be hard on pets.

Comments
Comments: People were very good about masks and or distancing. I did notice one illegal camp site right next to trail high up on Valley Way. Met two young men who had planned to camp at the hut or on one of Adams side peaks. I directed them to Valley Way platforms and explained about not camping anywhere above treeline. I was afraid of this with huts closed. Quite a few headed up to camp as I was coming down. I must admit this was a tiring trip for this 75 year old. LOL
