Comments
Comments: Needed part of the New Path for redlining. WOW!!!!! Only a little over a mile, but the steep part seemed to never end. South Doublehead has better views. The first cairn is NOT the summit, go a little further. Both cairns mark areas with great views. Then, a short while going toward north, there is a ledge giving you great views of the opposite direction. At the cabin on North, there is a spur path (to the right of the cabin) that will bring you to a ledge with restricted views. Took the ski trail down. Very pretty in the summer. We had gone in the winter a few years ago, and they have since moved the large parking lot, so we had a new section of trail to redline. The new lot is closer to where we were parked, so we had a shorter road walk.
