Gravel parking lot at kiosk on Rt 115 at Lennon Rd. 5 cars at 9am, about the same upon return. Someone had relieved themselves right in the parking lot, that's just unnecessary. |

A couple of minor blowdowns on Cherry Mtn trail, easy to duck under/step over.. quite a few smaller blowdowns on Martha's Mile. Again, easy to duck under/step over/skooch around. |

Took Cherry Mountain Trail from Rt 115 at Lennon Road. Trail damp once on the steeper incline making rocks a bit slippery. Easy enough with care. Unfortunately low clouds prevented any real views. Quite a few small blowdowns on Martha's Mile. Can see a lot of maintenance already, just needs a little more, however none prevented passing by. Last rock slab climb to Owls Head was a little slippery with light rain, thankfully enough trees/roots available to hang onto! That would be the only real area of concern for dogs or children. Ledges on Owls Head were also a little slippery due to rain and more limited views thanks to low clouds. |
