Well maintained, above tree line trail area around Trail is roped off to keep people on the trail to prevent trampling on sensitive vegetation. |

Piper and several other dogs appeared to be doing well
There is no water on the hike after last brook crossing at 1.6 miles going up and none on the ridge or on the Greenleaf until you reach the hut where there is a spicket outside the hut, so make sure you bring enough water for you and your pup. |

Beautiful day on the Franconia Ridge, was cool and somewhat windy had to put on a layer.
As expected lots of people on this amazing route, met a few thru hikers. |
