| Dog-Related Notes: |
Piper did great but she is used to hiking above treeline.
There is about 1.2 miles of hiking above treeline with the usual sharp rocks and boulders. I watch her feet closely especially the pads and she has had no issues but I am sure some dogs can. I carry dog boots and socks and bandages in case there is an issue but fortunately haven’t had to use them.
Hiking up above treeline is not particularly steep and you are never on the “edgeâ€. I have some fear of heights.
Also last water available is at the Osgood Tentsite so make sure you bring enough for your pup. |

| Bugs: |
Lots of some type of flying bugs at the summit not biting but driving Piper crazy |
