Excellent first time hike on Howker Ridge Trail. Extremely beautiful way to ascend.Trails in great shape and mostly dry. I encountered my first frozen puddles on Mt Madison and Mt Adam. Althougha chilly start it was perfect weather low wind mild temps. It was nice chatting with many hikers on the trail today- Especially nice to see a familiar hiker just below Jefferson. Truly inspiring! |
