Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No issues, water very low
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Owls Head Trail bog bridges down low are rotten and at end of life but not necessary today with the lack of rain. The path is otherwise clear though some minor brushing low and high would be beneficial. Martha’s Mile has 6-8 12-14” duck under or step overs, only a couple required straddling to get by. Some brushing would be beneficial though it’s easy to follow the trail at all times.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: The scramble starting out on Martha’s Mile from Owls Head would be problematic for most dogs I would think. Best water is 100’ from the trail head. The brook crossing 1 mile in was barely wet and may be dry tomorrow. No other water.
Bugs
Bugs: None

Comments
Comments: Nice in and out on this chilly day. Barely a breath of wind. Great views of the Presidentials from Owls Head ledges. No other views except from the summits. Nice foot path is gentle on the knees.
