Minor brook crossings were dry |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail was well blazed and reasonably easy to follow. Could use a good sweeping in spots however. Some of the steeper pitches also had some nasty erosion issues. |

It’s a pretty good dog trail. Just keep in mind that there is no good water due to the drought. |

Took the “back-way†to mt pemi for the first time. Compared to the other route, it’s a bit steeper, and definitely a lot tougher. But it’s certainly much quieter, and in wetter seasons I bet it’s pretty scenic with all of those nearby brook beds. Hate that the wildfire smoke from out west is blocking the sunshine, but it was still beautiful up at the summit! |
