nice new (to me) parking lot across the street from trail head..plenty of room and a vast improvement over the old "lot" main lots were full today |

no water crossings on this route even in normal weather..all mud spots dry |

i have cleaned up a lot of trail trash in my day but today i picked up a lego at the summit. thats a first |

nice day out. trail dry and evident , beaver ponds about dried up. some trail creep along ridge trail to East. met a couple of folks from RI near the viewpoint. they missed the turn and were headed down col to 113 and I headed them back to their car...warm in the sun but nice cool hiking weather.pleased with the new parking lot. noted a flagged route from the back R side of lot that follows a nice route to directly across from the old lot crossing drainage ditch above a culvert..way better then the old mud pit !!! |
