I thought the gate was supposed to be open but it was locked so we parked in the small lot just outside the gate. Adds a 1.1 mile stretch along the paved access road before you get to the trailhead, so it is more of a 10.4 mile hike that the 8.2 we expected. But a beautiful day for a walk. |

It’s been dry lately and all the crossings were shallow and easy to rock hop |

Trail was in good condition. A bit narrow the last couple miles in some places, probably due to lack of use, but not hard to follow. |

Saw not a one, but would be very easy - nothing tricky about this one. |
