| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The first part of Magalloway Road is decent and no logging trucks were seen on a Sunday. The “bad mile†after the sharp right turn was slow and difficult in my low clearance vehicle, and the rest of it is still challenging for lcv’s. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The Coot Trail is quite an experience: steep, eroded, muddy, and rocky (some solid, some loose). The mud was well set up on a dry day but is likely “slicker than goose poop†as my late friend Dan would say, during or after a rain. It was worth it for variety’s sake but once was enough. Bobcat Trail is very nice comparatively. Many blowdowns have been cut but some walk/duck/crawl unders remain on Bobcat. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Have fun guys and bring water. Be extra careful at the lookouts, which have steep dropoffs. |
|
| Bugs: |
It’s getting too cold for most. |

| Comments: |
The views from the fire tower and outlooks are spectacular. There aren’t many places where you can see three states and a neighboring country. |
