The parking area further in shown on Gaia is actually someone’s driveway I believe so park at the parking lot shown further away on Gaia and signed. The short portion of dirt road you’re on is rough. |

The trails were all (or at least some) marked with yellow diamonds. Trail jcts do not have signs but have labeled arrows with trail names. I believe you can print off a map from the Jackson town website which I recommend you do if you don’t have a GPS. I used Gaia to get around. The trails shouldn’t be hard to follow although some are getting pretty obscured by the leaves. No blowdowns. |

Some dogs may struggle on the western side of the summit loop due to the steep, loose footing. |

Unknown trails, main route to pond, Tin Mine Loop, Tin Mountain Summit Loop
My second hike of the evening Monday night to grab another NH500 Highest peak, Tin Mtn. I recommend doing the loop clockwise so as to ascend the steep, loose section of trail rather than descend it. Most of the trails are just a nice walk in the woods and I wouldn’t mind going back to explore a bit more and see the pond. Just beyond the summit (if traveling clockwise) there is a nice viewpoint. To get back on trail however you need to backtrack a few steps. Then you’ll see an arrow for the trail continuing down. Very easy to miss if you’re distracted by the viewpoint and going on this direction. Shouldn’t be a problem in reverse. Got to see Thorn Mtn from the viewpoint where I’d just been along with many other mountains. |
