Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The gate is closed, so you're looking at about a mile walk to the lodge/trailhead. Parking along the road is plentiful, but mind the restrictions, lest you get ticketed or towed.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Ice - Black, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Recommended Equipment: Light Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All significant crossings feature sturdy, well built bridges. No worries!  
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail was in great shape. There were a couple of blow-downs, that I took care of with my saw.

Dog-Related Notes: Lots of happy pups all along the trail today, all of them having a fine outing.

Comments
Comments: Wow, it was crazy windy at the top, and even the trees didn't seem to put up much of a fight, either. There's a lot of rime ice at the summit, so consider grabbing your micro spikes on the way out the door. The ice had melted by the time I got there, but that was dependent on morning sun doing the job. But while I hadn't thought it late enough in the season to start carrying them, my spikes are out of the closet and back in my pack now.
