Comments
Comments: We did a loop up over West Royce from Basin Pond. All trails are in good condition. The Basin Trail gains most of it elevation just before Rim Junction. Basin Rim is a gradual climb to the summit. Royce Trail drops steeply for the first 2 miles from the summit. There are some nice views to the east from the summit. We saw more people than we expected, 28, but they were evenly spaced out over the three trails.
