 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of parking on a weekday. There's some construction and blasting going on in the woods near the trailhead. Heavy equipment was being unloaded in the parking area when I arrived. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
First two crossings of the Little River were impassable. The third was a frigid wade in strong current. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Sections of N. Twin Trail are basically erosion gullies, especially after a soaking rain. |

 | Comments: |
My choice of this trail on this day was a poor one, given the conditions. North Twin Tr. was quite wet with running water in many places. Some of the steeper parts were more like a stream-bed than a trail. Although it was sunny and cool, the previous day was a washout. All of the streams were still running full, and the third crossing of the Little River required wading knee-deep in cold strong current.
The Spur trail between the two peaks was a little better, but there were large pools of water in the trail and lots of mud. I spent the entire day with cold wet feet. |
