|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||Mt. Jefferson, NH|
||Jewell Trail, Gulfside, Jefferson Loop|
|Date of Hike:
||Thursday, October 15, 2020|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Parked at the Cog lot was empty on arrival-ten vehicles on return |
||Dry Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||Crossing at Cog slightly elevated-took my chances walking across an old log. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||Trails in great shape with the exception of two blowdowns on the Jewell, one large one small. The Sphinx/Gulfside trail sign was down on my return. I couldn't fix as gusts were ramping up.
||Not today |
|Lost and Found:
||Quick hike to Mt Jefferson and back. With moderate sustained winds and warm temps it made for a great hike although a little tiring hiking on the way back into the winds until dropping into treeline. |
