Comments
Comments: Beautiful day to hike these summits. With moderate wind and extremely mild temps it was a great day.Snow depth ranged from an inch at lower elevations to 6 inches near tree line. Micros went on at 4200 feet and stayed on until 2400 feet on the descent on Airline. There were spotty areas of drifts below treeline as well as many knee deep and a few hip deep drifts above treeline.

Mount Madison was fairly easy to ascend as there was mostly rime ice with little snow but Mt Adams was a somewhat slow and very deliberate approach due to drifting covering many spaces between rocks. After descending Lowes Path to Gulfside the same was true with drifted snow. Trekking poles proved there worth today for sure.
