Comments
Comments: Great day to be hiking! All sorts of weather, and all good. Some light snow without accumulation. Started at 7:45 AM and with a bunch of breaks to switch layers and water/snacks-- the loop took just under 8 hours. Carried microspikes, but did not need them. Did not get that greatly anticipated view on Mt. Hight, it was super blustery and in a cloud. Had other great views later in the day. One tip, if you prefer hiking up steep, rather than hiking down steep, go up Mt. Hight on the way to Carter Dome, rather than heading to Mt. Hight after Carter Dome. I wish I had gone that way!
