Gate to Ravine Lodge was closed. Started at 4:45 and was the only car. Returned by 9:30 to 8 cars. |

Started at 4:45 at the trailhead, hiking up for sunrise. Muddy in spots at the bottom, but the trails were in good condition overall. Some ice further up; elected not to use my spikes because most was avoidable. Typical strong wind at the summit for Moosilauke. Stayed up there for about a half hour; great sunset and alone on the peak! Didn't see anyone until halfway into my descent. |
