Comments
Comments: Barebooted up to the summit but did eat it a couple times and would recommend putting on spikes down lower if you feel uncomfortable with the footing. I put on my spikes at the summit for the way down and kept them on till about 0.5mi above the trailhead. A few patches of breakable ice and running water on the trail but mostly is unpacked granular snow with some fun ice to discover underneath the snow in spots. As we get deeper into winter remember that Kinsman Glade which the trail crosses like 5 times will become active with skiers. Snow depth up high is about 3-4" gradually decreasing down to a trace dusting at the parking lot.
