Comments
Comments: Trail starts with minimal snow at the lot but quickly gets deeper. Snowshoes start to finish. Last 2ish miles before the hut feature deep snow, unconsolidated and very soft. Wasn’t broken out before today, followed postholes up to hut. Would absolutely recommend snowshoes snowshoes snowshoes up to the hut for now to smooth out the trail, especially with more snow on the way.

Around the hut, took snowshoes off to summit Madison in Hillsounds, as snow coverage was spotty to the summit and snowshoes were difficult to manage. Able to kind of rock hop, but stepping in the wrong place yields to hip-deep snow. Opted to skip Adams today.

Reportedly deep drifts over toward Adams, but Airline is broken out top to bottom by other hiker I met at Madison hut -perhaps look for his trail report later.
