Comments
Comments: Walked east on the road for about 0.4 miles. Then headed directly south up to the ridge. Hit 2 spots of really thick woods that were relatively short. I wouldn't call any of it "open" until near the ridge but it was doable. Mostly only ~6-8 inches of snow so microspikes were enough. Carried snowshoes the whole way. Ended up reaching the knob west of Mt. Kancamagus. Heading east was fairly easy through mostly open flat woods. Snow was deeper but not by much. Found the highpoint and canister (log book) without any trouble. Interesting to see visits from a few days in a row in November. Retraced the majority of our steps back. Tried to cut the corner of the L a bit on the way down. Bypassed one thick spot but I wouldn't say it was much easier.
