| Comments: |
I wore microspikes all the way up. Water crossings weren't too bad. Falls looked splendid. I had good traction pretty much the entire way up. Barebooted the ridgeline as there wasn't much ice and I was mostly stepping on rock. A few slippery close calls as a result but it was hard to justify wearing the spikes. Put them back on near the summit of Lafayette. Descending Bridle Path was a bit of a pain as the spikes aren't necessary much of the time but it's hard to pull the trigger on taking them off. Ended up removing them for two stretches on the way down. Beautiful day to spend in the mountains! |
