Comments
Comments: Followed AT to Hayes(Mahoosuc Trail) and Cascade.
Booted entire hike in 1-2" powder covering leaves, rocks, roots, ice.
Ledges/rocks on Centennial Trail and on the steeps prior to Cascade had exposed rock surfaces, insufficient snow cover, ice/hidden ice.
There are no blazes on the AT from Hayes to Cascade which could transform trail travel in the wide open hardwoods between the 2 peaks into a bushwhack. However somebody(the maintainer?)
tied small orange flagging tape where blazes should have been.
