Comments
Comments: We had an undercast for essentially the entire hike today! We ascended Old Bridle Path which was a little unpacked, but fine in Hillsounds below the hut. Above the hut, the snow got a little bit less packed and there were some significant stretches of ice on the trail but we felt comfortable traversing them in light traction. Crampons would have been a little overkill but not a terrible idea to bring if you want to be extra careful. There were some deep drifts along the ridge but nothing deep or long enough to warrant snowshoes. The Falling Waters descent was perfectly packed and just had a couple icy spots we had to take a little slowly. Great day to be outside!
