 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Took last plowed parking spot at 8:40A at the train depot lot (spots for about 10-15 cars I’d guess) - when we got back around 12P some more cars had managed to park in the unplowed spots. The lot at Highland Center seemed to still have space available in the morning when we arrived, and had some left when we departed. Seems like some people were parked for quick trips. |

 | Comments: |
Barebooted up to about halfway to the summit - trail was packed snow, seems like lots of people got out yesterday after the snow stopped! Once we hit the first stretch of ice we switched to spikes, and ended up keeping them on for the rest of the hike. Lots of icy areas chewed up by spikes... part of the trail seemed to have water flowing under the ice (three or four holes where people broke through). We saw maybe a total of six or so parties on our way up, and ten or more on our way down. Plenty of spots to step off trail. Great day! |
