Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Friday, January 8, 2021
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: From Rt. 3/Happy Corner in Pittsburg drove up Danforth Hill Rd. After 1 mile (just before a house) the road takes a sharp left up a very steep pitch, and then levels off for the next .3 mile to the obvious Cohos Trail trailhead. Danforth Hill Rd was sanded and suitable for FWD vehicles for first mile. It was not sanded after that. We made it up the unsanded pitch in a 4WD with good snow tires. Parked at the trailhead at the jct of the road and a long driveway.

Comments
Comments: Hiked the yellow blazed Cohos Trail to the summit. Most of the trail is on old woods roads that snake their way to the top. Summit is a sharp pointed ledge with a good sized spruce tree growing on it. We examined the tree carefully and found a piece of multicolored twine hanging from a branch.
Minimal breaking effort in 4-6” powder
Easy grades
