SPNHF lists this on their site as not plowed but the road (class 6 section) was plowed well beyond the parking. The parking lot had been plowed(6 cars) and there is another small lot (3 cars) close to trailhead that is also plowed. |

Trail is in excellent shape. Well blazed and signed (arrows). |

Parked at the main lot and did the short road walk to trail. Road was icy but later in the day some had used it to drive to smaller lot close to trailhead. The trail was well packed up to first vista. We wore Yak Trax as microspikes would have been overkill. You could bare boot but it was slippery and icy in many spots. Snow had a fresh 1/2 of powder so animal tracks were easy to see and PLENTIFUL! Most people stop and return at first vista and so we were the second/third feet from that point on. We went to all vistas and then backtracked to the Woods Road (it is labeled and blazed)to return to our car. This is a GREAT loop. |
