Parked at the Crawford Notch Station. I was the first car in the lot at 6:30am. There were some cars on the other side, in the lot area off the road. Late morning it got very busy up on the trails, and when I came down the lot was full, and lots of cars parked on the road. |

Trails were amazing today, all in great condition! Most hikers that I saw were in micro spikes, I wore my Hillsound Trail Crampons to give me a bit more traction than the micros, and they were awesome! The beginning of Avalon Trail has some visible ice and some ice under the snow, and there is also visible ice heading up to Mount Avalon summit, on the Mount Avalon Spur Path, all areas totally fine with light traction. There were some folks wearing snowshoes today. There were a few inches of loose powder in a few areas on all of the trails, but such small areas, and it was packed underneath. All water crossings were bridged with ice/snow and no issues at all. Gorgeous day up there! |
