Comments
Comments: A bluebird day to get peaks 37&38 off my W48 list. The Pine Bend trail was well established as was the saddle between North & Middle. Water crossings all easy hops with care. Up around the summits, there is some exposed rock, but no ice to get any bite from the Hillsound Pro's - work arounds have been established. Beautiful day up there, with zero wind, established trails and super visibility (out to Chocoura / Hedgehog, Loon). Lots of noobs on trail who don't seem to know right of way rules...and with COVID distancing, it felt like being on Everest's queue waiting your turn to snap a photo at the viewpoint on Middle Tripyramid. I barefooted up to North (with minimal difficulty towards the summit), but put on the Hillsound Pro's for the trek to Middle, back, and down to about 2 miles (the flat area of Pine Brook Bend). Swapped to boots to let my feet flex a bit for the easy walk out.
