Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: We parked in the good plowout on Rt. 3 at Corridor 5/Deer Mountain Campground. Snowmobile trails are open and groomed, though don't have close to the requisite 18 in. Conditions are dismal with lots of exposed ground and vegetation. Traffic was minimal for a January Sunday in Pittsburg.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Unpacked Powder
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The bridge is out on the unnamed road that heads up towards this peak. We carried light hip waders but did not need them as there were snow/ice bridges that held us as long as we were careful. A couple smaller ones required care, but were easy.

Comments
Comments: We took corridor 5 to 141, to nine mile loop, to Indian stream road, to the unnamed road up the peak, to a bushwhack to the swath near the peak. We cut a major corner by bushwhacking from the height of land on the western ridge of corridor 140 to 9 mile loop. A short distance of Indian Stream road and the entirety of the unnamed road were unpacked as they are not corridor. Snow was 6-8 in of light powder over no base; we snowshoed from car to car.

This route took us over two ridges, both of which took up higher than our target peak. Return gain was almost as much as the trip out. Round trip was 27 miles.
