Comments
Comments: Pretty straight-forward hike on this NH500. FR105 is gated so we parked at the beginning of FR105 and York Pond Road. Both FR105 and FR106 are being used for an active logging operation and closed to vehicles even if the gates were open. We bare-booted up the plowed roads and at about 1,800' entered the woods on an old skidder road (not part of the current logging). As this turned away from the summit goal we entered open woods most of the way. Last few hundred feet was brushy but easily avoided. Recognized high point is apparent. Followed our tracks back to the road and easy walk back to the vehicles.
