| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked at the end of South Avenue. Be aware this is NOT "the normal dead-end plow turn-around". It is the landowner's property. I made this mistake and the owner wasn't home to ask so I parked anyway thinking it was public town road. Because I'm trying to sell my truck I have my phone number on it and I received a call from the landowner when I was on top of Jericho. I was very fortunate that she was understanding and patient. Two hours later when I returned to the truck I profusely apologized. Again, I LUCKED OUT! Do not park at the dead end, there seems to be some parking space on the side of South Ave easterly of the intersection with Haskell Road. There is no parking up Haskell Road as this is all private with the exception of the snomo trail leading into the old logging area. |

| Comments: |
After walking up Haskell to the Snomo trail we followed the old road to the second open log landing area. There are three skidder roads leaving from here. We chose the one on the right which ended up being the most direct, it brought us to an overgrown logged area. whippy but not impassible, and then to the unnamed trail at the NW corner. We followed skidder roads and the unnamed trail to the col between the two summits. The ATV trail leads all the way to Mount Forest. Backtracking to the col we then followed a lesser used snomo/ATV toward Jericho. As began to head away we whacked to the summit. Unbelievable view from the summits of both peaks, save these for a clear day. From Jericho we followed the unnamed trail all the way back, skirting the whippy logged area, to the log landing and the road back to our vehicles. We returned via the unnamed trail which entered the log landing. (A little longer but a much better choice). |
