Comments
Comments: Microspikes start to finish. Climb to the ridge is well packed [trail past bushwhack looks in reasonable shape, though with less use]. Bushwhack is a bit rougher, and has wet spots, something only more snow will fix. Isolation trail is packed but has many rocks and water. Isolation trail north of Davis Path intersection has been cut by a couple of snowshoers, but I'd use snowshoes if you are coming via that direction. Davis Path is well packed. The Jan 7th reports talk of messier trails. I waited to Sunday so that hikers would find all the weak spots for me (thank you), and it worked because with only a few exceptions I didn't break through. I met several fellow gridders and had a great discussion.
