| Comments: |
19 mile brook trail is such a nice gradual flat/uphill trail, an excellent way to go up. The Carter Dome trail has some switch backs making the uphills much easier. All three peaks are in the trees but you can find lookout spots to view the entire Presidential range on each peak. The snow conditions were perfect for micro spikes. It was well packed down and very few spots with ice. Some spots on the way from Carter Dome to South Carter and then to Middle Carter snow was less packed down, but snowshoes are not necessary for the trail in current conditions. |
