Comments
Comments: All trails were compacted snow with no propensity for post holing. Snowshoes not required although they could be used. The snow pack is not deep. Only a couple of small ice patches that are easily crossed with traction.
The forest was beautiful with the snow on the evergreen boughs and plastered on the trunks.
No Gray Jays. Watched a woodpecker on a birch tree.
No views on summit at noon. Appeared the clouds were dissipating in the afternoon.
Path to the south outlook not well broken out with a narrow corridor through the evergreens.
