Sooo happy BW by-passed that first river crossing. |

Great conditions for a hike of this length! Micros from start to finish. Paths well beaten down, rivers snow bridged, and the weather for Jan outstanding!
Encountered several hikers also taking advantage of the optimum conditions: thxs to the 2 hikers with the 4:30AM start time for their trail advice; congrats to the hiker who made Owl Hd his 48th -4K and the group at the summit that pointed out the inconspicuous and tastefully done “ OWL HEAD†sign behind a tree.
