Parking for 3+ cars, roadside, at trailhead on Mountain Road, Lyndeborough. The roadside parking did not look plowed, but "run down" by cars, so it is unclear if there would be parking after a major snowstorm. |

Easy and pleasant hike through nice woods. Trails marked with small signs pointing the way to the different peaks. There are numerous offshoot trails (local, snomo, etc.) but it was clear enough to get to the three peaks. Rose Mtn. by far had the nicest views, with a large clearing and sweeping view towards Monadnock. Trails are all packed and light traction was all that was needed. Gaia Topo base layer and CalTopo OpenCycleMap show all the trails. Fun day hiking and geocaching with DocRoss and JEM3. |
