AWESOME day for these 3K's. Bushwhack to East Peak was VERY open - EASY. Maybe a 2 on the 1-10 scale for thickness. Then, we straddled the ridge to the middle bump and on to South Hitchcocks, hitting all highpoints. Last half mile was TERRIBLE!!!! Worst Patrick had seen, but, I've seen worse: mixture of slippery blowdown, young wet firs, and thick spindly crap. It was GREAT to get down and take a dip in the river and wash the blood and DEET away!!! Another great day with Forestgnome!!!! :) :) |
