Comments
Comments: Trail from Proctor up to Ridge trail junction had been lightly broken out. From there the trail to the W Peak (ski area) looked to be un-travelled. To E. Peak there was one set of tracks, but they ended at the high point; so we broke out the somewhat obscure rest of the way to "Old Top" where the best views are. Microspikes needed for steep spots going down; otherwise bare boots ok. A few inches at bottom, about 6" up top. Trail in good, smooth shape, no postholes; snowshoes would have been overkill; save them for after the next real snow.
No one had been beyond the ledges by Balancing Rock; so did not attempt going down via "Bulkead."
