We found a somewhat packed trail with about 3-4 inches of new snow, so opted for snowshoes start to finish. Sadly a couple came along with microspikes, and another fellow was bare booting, so our nice track is now all chewed up. Sigh. But the snow is light and fluffy, it's not too warm, so it shouldn't firm up much and future snowshoers will be able to smooth it out. An occasional rock peeking through but easy to avoid. No view today as it was snowing but still a nice hike |
