 | Comments: |
We broke trail with snowshoes for the entire UNH trail loop after the Downes Brook X-Country trail. Snow depth varied from 8-12 inches, with some knee depth drifts at the higher elevations. The packed monorail/trail was barely visible due to the unpacked powder. We lost the trail a few times where the monorail was completely covered and the snow covered branches were hanging low making the yellow blazes difficult to see. Snowshoes will be needed until the trail is compacted. |
