Comments
Comments: Thank you to everyone we met on the trail for wearing snowshoes. The new snow was fluffy and not consolidating very well, but we did our best. After the east ledges, when you arrive at the really wide open area, there is a false trail heading to the right. Stay to the left and it takes you back into the woods to circle around the summit. A few rocks detected under the snow but no ice. Quick descent, lots of snowshoe glissades! Everyone else was going counter-clockwise, but we like clockwise. No butt sliding, not enough snow to be safe. All in all a great day on the trail, 4.6 mi, moving time about 1 hr.
