Comments
Comments: Mt. Pliny is allegedly an 'easy' bushwhack peak to get. Not today for me. Hoped to get it in before the afternoon storms, but it wasn't to be.

Priscilla Brook Trail (aka Upper Ammonoosuc Trail) appears to be abandoned for good reason - a majority of the trail (more of a logging road) was a mud pit (prior to the rain starting). Add in grey skies and deer flies, my motivation was lacking. Made it about 2 miles up the trail (plenty of blowdowns but nothing too bad...and climbing over them allowed brief breaks from the mud) before hearing what sounded like thunder. Decided that was convenient enough of an excuse to call it a day...made it about halfway down before the downpour started.

Looks like it would be a very nice route with a few feet of snowpack to cover the mud and blowdowns.
