Old Mountain Road only had an inch of new powder from yesterday's storm; the last few small accumulations have been enough to cover up the ice bulges for now. Snowshoes were ideal, whereas spikes/bareboots will probably cut down to/slide off some of the hidden bulges.
Crawford Ridgepole drifted again last night as it is known to do when windy (still windy at sunrise this morning). Extended stretches of 6-12" of unbroken powder/drifts. Obviously snowshoes.
Squam Lake now looks to be fully snow covered. |
