So many crawl and duck unders that I lost count. The Carter Moriah and imp trail is strangled with branches growing out onto the trail, it’s a constant dodge to avoid getting caught. |

Thank you Tim for your last submittal on the camp Dodge cutoff- it dictated our route.
Very cold, but windless day, with stunning clear views!
19mile and Carter dome trail to zeta pass a well beaten highway. From zeta pass to Carter Dome summit, sections of snow drifts and post holes, but 6 pairs of snowshoes may have helped today ( only one person with light traction). The Carter Mariah trail ( thru south and middle Carter) and the south imp trail in good shape.
The 12.5 mile hike would have had more road mileage without the camp dodge cutoff. |
