Most of the trails with the notable exception of Lend-a-Hand were packed powder but still a little too soft for spikes or bare boots at this point. Experimented with spikes on the way down from Bondcliff but quickly put the shoes back on until the last 3.5 miles out on stinkin' Lincoln Woods. In normal times Lend-a-Hand would have been a highway coming up from the hut but these are not normal times. There were 3 of us so it's kinda packed out now til the next storm, please forgive the off roadin' and spruce traps to the depths of hell where we lost the trail.
Snow bombs galore on all woodsy trails except for the Bondcliff descent. Maybe wear a light summer rain jacket to keep from getting either soaked out or overheated. |
