We netted about an inch of granular with nearly an inch of sleet crust on top. Unfortunately, someone went up here yesterday and postholed it. The pre-storm base was still soft yesterday, so the postholer went right through the previously packed track in places. The crust is firm enough to support snowshoes, but not firm enough to facilitate barebooting or Microspiking.
I will not be back until we get some more snow to cover up this mess. |
