Comments
Comments: A couple of inches of crunchy, crusty granular accumulated on these trails from Monday's dud of a storm. The previously bootpacked trail can be Microspiked without postholing, so long as one stays on the previously packed track. Otherwise, it's an instant posthole with that slightly jagged ice layer on top that can get painful after awhile. I chose to wear snowshoes roundtrip; the crust is firm enough to support them. Would be ideal bushwhacking conditions in this vicinity right now.
